Robert McLean received a BA in Theater from the University of Iowa in 1991, and has been working in off-Loop theater for the last 12 years. Some Chicago highlights include The Fair Maid of the West with CT20 Ensemble (Jeff nominated production & ensemble), The Mandrake with greasy joan & co. (Jeff nominated production), Pistols For Two (Jeff nominated production and ensemble) and Around the World in 80 Days (Jeff Citation, best ensemble) with Lifeline Theater. Also at Lifeline, Rob was in The Killer Angels, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. Offstage for The Hypocrites, he has served as Assistant Producer for eight shows, Producer for nine shows, and choreographed the sword fight for Camille/La Traviata. Onstage for The Hypocrites he has been seen in Lakeboat, Ajax, Rhinoceros, Henry 5, Balm in Gilead (Jeff Nomination, Best Ensemble), Equus (Jeff Citation, Best Production), The Glass Menagerie and Death of a Salesman (Jeff Nomination, Best Production). Elsewhere around town, Rob has worked for Writers’ Theatre, CityLit, The Factory, and Eclipse Theatre, among others. He is also a member of A Crew of Patches, a company bringing full length productions of Shakespeare to area high school audiences, and recently had a small speaking role in the feature film Quebec, to be released in 2007. |
