Halena Kays* (Director) is a 1996 graduate
of Northwestern University. She is artistic director of Barrel of Monkeys
and director of their long-running show That's Weird, Grandma. Halena
is a member of The Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit and a Hypocrites
company member. Halena has worked as a teacher, professional actor
and director in Chicago for the past six years. She has performed with
The Factory Theater, Roadworks Productions, The Hypocrites, Steppenwolf
Theater, Strawdog Theater, the Bailiwick, Shattered Globe, SMC, and
500 Clown. Halena was nominated (best supporting actress) for her role
as Kimberly in Stupid Kids and has won both After Dark Awards and Joseph
Jefferson Citations for Acting and Directing in Chicago. Halena is
also a correspondent for "Artbeat Chicago" on WTTW where
she has the pleasure of interviewing many of the country's most talented
performers.
Sean Graney (adapter) is the artistic
director of The Hypocrites. Plays produced in Chicago include The 4th
Graders
Presents an Unnamed Love-Suicide (produced by The Side Project), and
En Mortem (produced by Flush Puppy). He also was the winner of the
Collaboraction Sketchbook '02 with his short piece The Wedding Album
of Sandy Benito's Wedding. This spring Terrapin Theatre is producing
his play Requiem in a Light-Aqua Room.
